I found this exercise interesting. I was wondering, what would I do? I do tend to randomly wear bunny ears to work. So what do I do? A thought occured to me that I get concerned over my armpit hair. Living in Arizona, staying cool is an ongoing battle. It was interesting how difficult it was to do this. So what if someone thinks I am ‘ickky’ on such a superfical issue. How silly that I worry tht much over such trivia. how does one waken if you are ‘filled with trivia’?

I do know that I LOVE Teresa’s Hat!!

This chapter PRESUMES that the reader is cognizant of the fact that he/she is comprised of three co-equal and diametrically opposite Forces.

Furthermore – that the reader has cognized that one of these three Forces – which I refer to as the historical hysterical personality – has become the dominant force to the detriment of the other two Forces which remain under-developed as independent Forces in a Trinity of Forces.

Practical Work on Self is a course of work and study intended to develop and strengthen the second of the three Forces, namely, the non-phenomenal or essential Self which is diametrically opposite the historical personality and should be – in all respects – co-equal in strength and contributor of perceptions and manifestations.

One exercise for the strengthening and development of the non-phenomenal self is to allow or permit the non-phenomenal self to be the “center-of-gravity” in initiating actions which are “contrary” to the wishes and desires of the historical personality.

This is similar to a parent encouraging a child to do whatever they wish to do and standing by as a “Red-faced Donkey” when the child does things that the parent knows are not generally socially acceptable.

No sooner does man become the creator of the drama of his dream state through the projection of his own dormant impressions, than this very projection of his own dormant impressions reflects his past as if it were his present, and man, finding himself involved in this drama, gets absorbed in his past while still maintaining it to be his present. ~Meher Baba
